An investor password in MT4 and MT5 provides read-only access to a trading account without allowing trading actions. This article explains what an investor password is, how it works, and when you may want to use it on Weltrade.
Investor password vs trading password
Trading password - full access: place, modify, and close trades; manage funds.
Investor password (read-only password) - view‑only: cannot trade, cannot change any settings, cannot open trades, cannot connect trading robots that execute orders.
Note: Demo accounts are an exception — they do not have an investor password, only a trading password.
Typical uses of investor password MT4
Showcase results to potential investors or partners.
Audit or research by letting a third party verify trade history.
Connect read‑only tools that analyze but do not execute.
